ALPHARETTA, GA — Verizon Wireless, America's best, most reliable wireless communications network, announces the addition of a new cell tower located near Fayetteville, as part of the company's ongoing commitment to network quality and its continuing effort to provide superior voice and data service to its customers. The new cell tower site will offer enhanced coverage along Highway 85 between Fayetteville and Senoia.

Through the increased coverage and network quality in Fayette County, Verizon Wireless is meeting the increasing demands for its wireless service and giving its growing customer base the best, most reliable wireless network available. The coverage enhancements continues the companies aggressive multi-billion dollar network investment each year to stay ahead of the demand for Verizon Wireless voice and data services, like two-way TXT Messaging, Picture Messaging, downloadable applications such as ringtones and games and wireless Internet access, throughout Georgia.

"Customers choose Verizon Wireless and stay with us because they want wireless service they can depend on," said Jim McGean, Verizon Wireless Georgia/Alabama region president. "Verizon Wireless invested nearly $1 billion in the South Area alone in 2003 and our 2004 investments continues that commitment to have the best voice and data network."

The company's most reliable network claim is based on network studies performed by real-life test men and test women who inspired the company's national advertising campaign. They make more than 300,000 call attempts monthly on Verizon Wireless' and other national wireless carriers' networks while traveling over 100,000 miles of the most frequently traveled roadways nationwide in specially equipped, company-owned quality test vehicles. Further, Verizon Wireless relies solely upon CDMA technology --considered one of the most reliable wireless communications platforms — for enhanced clarity and dependability.

About the Verizon Wireless Test Man Ride-Along Program
The specially equipped Verizon Wireless test vehicles simultaneously test seven wireless providers, using a computerized program to generate phonically diverse "conversations" as well as data transmissions. If you are interested in setting up an interview or ride-along with a local member of the Verizon Wireless team of real-life test men and women, contact Caran Smith at 678-339-4891 or via email at caran.smith@verizonwireless.com.
