BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless is expanding its portfolio of business options with a new handset and bundled data and voice plans that make it an even better business decision to use the nation's most reliable wireless network. Verizon Wireless is introducing the Samsung SCH — i730 Pocket PC today for large account customers, and on June 27, new plans that combine voice minutes, unlimited nights and weekends for voice calling and unlimited data access from a PDA, Smartphone or BlackBerry will be available. Consumers will be able to purchase the Samsung SCH-i730 on July 7 from any Verizon Wireless Communications store and online at www.verizonwireless.com.  

"Business customers are increasingly dependent upon a single wireless device for voice and e-mail," Bill Stone, Verizon Wireless vice president of marketing said. "These new plans recognize this paradigm shift by giving Smartphone, BlackBerry and PDA customers larger bundled data and voice plans that enhance their ability to stay in touch and productive while mobile."

Verizon Wireless customers can take advantage of the following combined voice and data plans for either BroadbandAccess or NationalAccess service on their PDA, Smartphone or BlackBerry device:

1350 anytime minutes + unlimited data + unlimited nights & weekends
$109.99 monthly access
A savings of $14.99 a month if purchased separately

3000 anytime minutes + unlimited data + unlimited nights & weekends
$169.99 monthly access
A savings of $24.99 a month if purchased separately

BlackBerry & PDA/Smartphone customers interested in Verizon Wireless' data-only plans to access their e-mail, may chose one of the recently announced simplified megabyte (MB) pricing plans. BlackBerry & PDA/Smartphone data plans are $29.99 monthly access for 10 MB of use, giving customers 5 MB more of data per month or unlimited data usage for $49.99.

All of Verizon Wireless PDAs and Smartphones, inclusive of the new Samsung SCH-i730 come with Wireless Sync, Verizon Wireless' VZEmail solution. Verizon Wireless offers a full spectrum of VZEmail-capable devices and deployment options that are complemented by Wireless Sync, the always-on solution that allows customers to have true office mobility with "push" e-mail and access to both their calendar and contacts.

Verizon Wireless Enterprise Solutions

Verizon Wireless offers wireless solutions that can be sized to fit just about every business including: Wireless Sync Workgroup keeps up to twenty users up-to-date with groupware-based e-mail, calendars, contacts, notes and tasks. The solution provides software that can be quickly downloaded and installed on a standard PC to monitor e-mail and personal information and then push that information securely to the customer's device.

Wireless Sync Enterprise Server provides an enterprise-class, behind-the-firewall mobility platform for large customers capable of scaling to support thousands of users. It provides secure mobile data delivery for e-mail, calendar, contacts, notes, tasks and other enterprise data to Verizon Wireless Smartphones and PDAs. With Wireless Sync Enterprise Server, enterprises can secure mobile devices and disable lost or stolen devices over-the-air (OTA), providing increased protection of corporate information.

Wireless Sync Workgroup and Wireless Sync Enterprise Server can be configured to support any customer, whether they have 5 or 5,000 users. The solutions support the major e-mail and PIM platforms deployed today in the enterprise: Microsoft Exchange® and Lotus Domino®.

Wireless Sync Workgroup and Wireless Sync Enterprise Server support the Samsung SCH-i730, available today to Verizon Wireless large account customers. The new device features Microsoft's Windows MobileTM 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC Phone Edition software, built-in support for EV-DO and Bluetooth®. In addition, the SCH-i730 integrates an SD I/O expansion slot for memory expansion and additional productivity applications that can be easily loaded to the device.
