BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless, owner and operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, today announced that customers who sign up for paperless billing and pay their monthly bills online at www.verizonwireless.com, or via their bank's Web site, through September 10, 2005, will receive a one-time $20 bill credit per account.

New and existing 'My Account' customers who are not already registered for paperless billing can save by logging on to 'My Account' (www.verizonwireless.com/myaccount), clicking on the 'Go Paperless' link and choosing 'Auto Bill Pay' via their checking account. The offer is also available to customers who establish bill payment through their home banking Web site.

Verizon Wireless customers who opt to pay their bill via 'Auto Bill Pay' will receive the $20 credit on their next bill. Customers who pay their bill through their home banking Web site will receive their credit once Verizon Wireless receives the first payment. Customers will receive notification of their credit through a registered e-mail address or through a TXT Message.*

"Online-savvy customers look for ways to save time and money and now they can do both with My Account," said Mark Lawson, executive director of E-Business for Verizon Wireless. "More and more customers like the idea of managing their personal and family budgets using online conveniences like My Account and automatic bill payment."

By paying online, customers and the company save the cost of postage, checks and envelopes. In May 2005 alone, 2.6 million Verizon Wireless customers paid their bills online through Auto Bill Pay or their home banking Web site, saving over $950,000 in postage.

Customers can learn more about the promotion, automatic bill payments and My Account by visiting www.verizonwireless.com/myaccount or at the more than 1,900 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores across the nation.

*Promotion not available to ONE-BILL® customers; accounts that are suspended, disconnected, or in arrears; Corporate Accounts, or customers already registered for both Paperless Billing and checking account payments.
