DAVENPORT, IA — Starting today, going wireless has never been easier. Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless provider and owner and operator of the nation's most reliable network, announced the availability of EasyPay Plans, the company's newest wireless plan designed specifically for customers who want all the benefits of a monthly plan, including a sizeable minute allowance, unlimited nights and weekends and unlimited IN Calling, without a long-term contract or deposit.

EasyPay Plans are the perfect choice for customers who want a wireless service without a monthly bill. With EasyPay Plans, customers can choose from large bundles of minutes, an array of handsets, and access to the broad scope of Verizon Wireless' popular services and features. EasyPay Plans don't require PIN numbers or scratch cards, making them the easiest way to prepay for wireless service.

To get started, EasyPay Plan customers select a phone from Verizon Wireless' portfolio of high-quality handsets (priced at the one-year customer agreement price) and then choose one of two options that best fit their calling needs:

  • Up to 350 anytime minutes, unlimited IN Calling to other Verizon Wireless customers, plus unlimited nights and weekends for $50 monthly payment
  • Up to 700 anytime minutes, unlimited IN Calling to other Verizon Wireless customers, plus unlimited nights and weekends for $70 monthly payment

EasyPay Plan customers also can TXT Message for just $0.10 for each message sent or received. After EasyPay Plan customers have set up their account, they simply prepay for their service every 30 days to keep the account active. Customers can pay their bill with cash, credit or debit cards in a variety of ways by phone, on-line, at a store or at a bill payment kiosk.

"We recognize that wireless service isn't a one-size, fits-all product. Customers have a multitude of preferences for how they want to pay for their wireless service. EasyPay Plans meet the needs of customers who have a prepay lifestyle but want the benefits and features of post-pay plans," said Tracy Nolan, president-Illinois/Wisconsin Region for Verizon Wireless.

EasyPay Plans gives customers access to Verizon Wireless' nationwide network, the most reliable wireless network in the United States. The company invests more than $4 billion annually to maintain and expand its network nationwide. Verizon Wireless' "most reliable wireless network" claim is based on the network studies completed by real-life test men and women who conduct more than four million calls annually on the Verizon Wireless network and other national wireless carriers' networks while traveling more than one million miles in specially equipped, company-owned quality test vehicles across the nation.

Verizon Wireless products and services are available at more than 1,900 Verizon Wireless Communications stores nationwide, including Verizon Wireless Communications in Circuit City stores, as well as at authorized retailers including Best Buy. Customers also can find information and purchase Verizon Wireless products and services online at www.verizonwireless.com.
