GREEN BAY, WI — Verizon Wireless and the Green Bay Bullfrogs are teaming up to invite fans to help victims of domestic violence in Wisconsin. A phone collection drive will be held Thursday, June 21, prior to the Bullfrogs' game versus the Madison Mallards.

Beginning at 6:00 p.m. when the gates open, until game time, fans will be able to donate no-longer-used wireless handsets and accessories from any service provider at both Joannes Stadium admission gates. For every phone a fan donates, he/she will receive one ticket to a future Bullfrogs' game, and Verizon Wireless will give $5 to Green Bay's Family Violence Center. The wireless equipment will be collected for Verizon Wireless' HopeLine® program.

Through its award-winning HopeLine program, Verizon Wireless collects no-longer-used wireless phones and accessories from any wireless service provider. Most of the donated phones and equipment are refurbished and sold, with proceeds going to support domestic violence awareness and prevention programs, including those in Wisconsin. Any remaining phones are recycled in an environmentally safe way.

"We are excited to join forces with Verizon Wireless and the Family Violence Center in an effort to help victims of domestic violence in Wisconsin," says Mike Then, Bullfrogs' general manager. "We know that as visible members of the community, it is important for us to give back to those who support us. And many thanks to Verizon Wireless for helping us reinforce this commitment."

Since its national recycling program began in October 2001, HopeLine has collected nearly 3.5 million phones and awarded more than $3 million in cash grants to domestic violence agencies and organizations throughout the country.

"We appreciate the Bullfrogs teaming up with us on this very important initiative," says T.J. Fox, president—Wisconsin/Illinois region, Verizon Wireless. "We encourage all Bullfrogs' fans to donate their no-longer-used wireless phones and accessories on June 21 and do their part to support victims of domestic violence."

Fans unable to attend the June 21 game can still participate in the phone drive by donating their no-longer-used phones at any Verizon Wireless Communications Store at any time. To find the store closest to you, visit www.verizonwireless.com.
