MORRISTOWN, NJ — In response to the growing demand for the company's voice and data products and services, Verizon Wireless, the wireless company with the nation's most reliable wireless voice and data network, today opened a new Communications Store in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

Located in Bridge Plaza North in Fort Lee, the new store features over 3,000 square feet of retail, technical support and customer service space to accommodate hands-on displays and a full-service environment. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The store is closed on Sunday. The store phone number is 201-969-4790.

The store is staffed by knowledgeable wireless professionals who offer consumers a broad range of equipment and service options, including the sleek new touch-screen Voyager™ by LG, equipped for live V CAST Mobile TV and full access to the Internet; VZ NavigatorSM, which provides audible turn-by-turn directions; and V CAST Music which allows customers to download full-songs directly to their phones and Microsoft® Windows® XP-based PCs.

Demand for Verizon Wireless services continued during the third quarter of 2007 when the company added 1.8 million net retail customers. Verizon Wireless now serves more than 63.7 million customers nationwide.

Store Manager Jamillah Jackson is encouraging area residents to join the company in its efforts to help survivors of domestic violence by bringing no-longer-used wireless phones to the new store for donation to the company's HopeLine® phone recycling program. HopeLine collects used cellphones to be recycled or sold and donates the proceeds in the form of cash grants and pre-paid wireless phones to advocacy groups for use by battered women. Verizon Wireless was the first wireless carrier in the nation to collect and recycle old cell phones, and has done so on behalf of survivors of domestic violence since January 1999 — first in New Jersey and then across the U.S.

The Fort Lee Communications Store is one of 142 Verizon Wireless interactive retail locations in the New York Metro area and the tenth to open in Bergen County.
