LAS VEGAS, BASKING RIDGE, NJ, and LOS ANGELES — From CTIA WIRELESS 2008, Verizon Wireless, the nation's leading wireless service provider, and FunnyorDie.com are teaming up to offer a new V CAST Video channel featuring Funny or Die videos.

With the Funny or Die channel on V CAST Video, Verizon Wireless customers now have access to the Funny or Die video collection that includes all genres of comedy — sketch, stand-up, animation, real-life, politics, and more. Programming is selected from the popular video clips on FunnyorDie.com and is updated regularly to deliver the newest videos to Verizon Wireless V CAST Video customers.

Ryan Hughes, vice president of digital media programming for Verizon, said, "Verizon Wireless is committed to delivering a variety of programming to our V CAST Video customers and the Funny or Die channel is a compelling entertainment choice for customers on-the-go."

"Funny or Die is the perfect fit for mobile users so we are excited to be able to bring our videos to Verizon Wireless' V CAST Video service," said Dick Glover, chief executive officer of Funny or Die and the Or Die networks.

The Funny or Die channel is located in the Comedy category on V CAST-enabled phones. Verizon Wireless customers can check out V CAST whenever they want for just $3.00 for 24-hour use or by signing up for the $15.00 V CAST VPak monthly subscription, which also includes access to Verizon Wireless' ESPN MVP, Get It Now® and Mobile Web 2.0 (SM) services. Customers get unlimited basic video — including the Funny or Die channel — but application download fees apply for 3D games and premium video. There are no airtime or megabyte charges to download, stream or watch V CAST content with any V CAST subscription.
