BASKING RIDGE, NJ — For the 14th consecutive quarter, Verizon Wireless leads the industry in customer loyalty, with the lowest customer churn (turnover) rate among the leading national wireless service providers, according to first quarter 2008 data released by the companies.

A company's churn rate is the percentage of its customers who leave and is an important measure of customer loyalty. First quarter financial performance announcements — the latest was released today — included the following customer churn rates:
