DES MOINES, IA — Verizon Wireless has named Manuel Pacheco of Waukee, and Joseph Thunhorst of Ankeny to the company’s prestigious President’s Cabinet.

These Verizon Wireless employees demonstrated exceptional sales leadership in 2008 by providing customers with outstanding service related to company products and service plans. They earned the award by meeting several criteria, including being ranked in the top 1 percent in 2008 sales, making each of them one of the company’s top performers among more than 18,000 sales people.

Pacheco is an assistant manager–Retail Sales at the Verizon Wireless Communications Store at 3714 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines. He is a graduate of Bell Gardens High School in Los Angeles, Calif.

Thunhorst is a manager–Retail Sales at the Verizon Wireless Communications Store at 3714 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines. He is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota.
