LAS VEGAS, NV and BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Ringback tones, a mainstay for savvy consumers to customize their mobile phones, have made their way to business culture. From CTIA WIRELESS 2009®, Verizon Wireless, the nation’s leading wireless service provider, announced the exclusive availability of Business Ringback Tones to let organizations replace the generic ring callers hear when contacting a wireless business number with a customized message.

Business Ringback Tones provide information specific to the business and can convey information about a company’s products, services or current promotions. Verizon Wireless also provides access to seasoned advertising veterans for scriptwriting and experienced voiceover artists in professional recording studios to assist businesses in producing the customized tones. Businesses can choose to use these professional services to customize the track and reflect the unique brand of the company or provide their own professionally produced track.

“Business Ringback Tones are an inexpensive way to advertise a product or service, communicate key values, or answer frequently asked questions,” said Rob Miller, vice president of marketing for Verizon Wireless. “They can also help businesses create a polished professional image because the message is specific to the company. The tones can communicate everything from product benefits to promotions, providing customers with helpful information before their calls are even answered.”

Corporate account administrators who manage the business’ wireless service can upload and manage 30-second tones on employee phones via the online Ringback Tone Manager. They can also create a custom Jukebox that will rotate messages so callers hear different tones each time they call. In addition to five active tones, businesses can store as many Business Ringback Tones as needed for future use or in anticipation of upcoming promotional campaigns.

Businesses can also use the Ringback Tone Manager to assign tones to different sets of employees, group certain wireless numbers to have the same tones, and let employees know of changes to the tone profile through SMS messages. Corporate account administrators can also extend invitations to utilize the service by sending text messages to employees that do not have corporate-liable lines.

Pricing and Subscription Information

Business Ringback Tones are available for $1.99 per month per line. Business Ringback Tones never expire, so businesses can keep them on file in the Ringback Tones Manager.

Businesses can use professional services from I-Mobile Marketing to create their Business Ringback Tones for a one-time charge of $299.00 per tone. This fee is for the complete development of the tone, including the script, one script rewrite, two audio recording options and two rounds of audio track revisions. Background music is also included. Additional script rewrites incur a fee of $30.00 per script, and extra audio rerecording is available for $85.00 per track. Businesses may alternatively opt to upload their own completed track for a reduced, one-time charge of $50.00 per tone, if these professional services are not required.

Business Ringback Tones are currently available to businesses with 50 or more corporate lines in service that are registered with the My Business online account management tool. Subscribers must have voice mail activated on the lines.

To sign up for Business Ringback Tones, existing Verizon Wireless customers’ corporate account administrators can go online to My Business or contact their Verizon Wireless Business Sales Representative at 1-800-VZW-4BIZ.
