New York City shoppers crowded service counters at the Verizon Wireless Communications Store on W. 34th Street in midtown Manhattan before dawn today to be among the first to start using the new iPhone 4 from Verizon Wireless. Wireless customers around the U.S. lined up outside Verizon Wireless stores -- some overnight -- to make their purchases when stores opened early at 7 a.m. local time. One customer at the midtown store said he arrived at 11 p.m. Wednesday to be first in line.
