Verizon Wireless Recognized As Call Quality Leader In The West In Latest J.D. Power And Associates Survey, Including Idaho

BOISE, ID — Verizon Wireless ranked highest among all other national wireless providers in the West, which includes Idaho, in the J.D. Power and Associates 2011 Wireless Call Quality Performance Study (SM), Volume 1, issued today.

More than 27,250 wireless phone subscribers were surveyed by J.D. Power and Associates between July and December 2010 about their experiences with dropped calls, static/interference, failed connection on the first try, voice distortion, echoes, no immediate voice mail notification, and no immediate text message notification. Based on their responses, Verizon Wireless ranked highest in five regions, including the West.

Each year, Verizon Wireless invests billions of dollars in its network to stay ahead of the growing demand for the company’s voice and data services. Verizon Wireless’ ongoing network investment now totals more than $227 million in Idaho and more than $65 billion nationally over the past ten years.
