New Cell Site Near Trinity, Florida, Boosts Local Coverage, Services

TAMPA, FL — Verizon Wireless, the nation’s leading wireless company with the largest, most reliable voice and data network, has activated a new advanced cell site in the Trinity area to enhance high-speed broadband wireless services for Tampa Bay residents, businesses and visitors. This newest Verizon Wireless site is located in Pasco County near Trinity College. It is designed to enhance outside and in-building coverage at the school, in nearby shopping centers and for other area businesses and residences.

The site further strengthens the nation’s most advanced 3G (EV-DO Rev. A) high-speed broadband network to improve customer experiences in making voice calls, sending e-mails, text and picture messages, connecting to the internet and accessing tens of thousands of applications, games, video, music and other features from their phone, tablet, netbook, or other wireless device. The Verizon Wireless 3G network covers about 98 percent of Florida’s population and land mass, and will provide customers with high-speed wireless services for many years to come.

In addition, Verizon’s newest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network already is available in Tampa Bay and nearly a dozen additional Florida markets. Verizon 4G LTE service is scheduled to cover the company’s entire Florida “footprint” by the end of 2013.
