Did you know today marks the beginning of Random Acts of Kindness Week? This week, people around the world are encouraged to go the extra mile to bring kindness to their friends, family, colleagues and communities.

HopeLine® from Verizon offers a way for people across the country to pay it forward and extend a random act of kindness with one simple gesture. Through HopeLine, you can donate no-longer-used wireless devices to support domestic violence victims and survivors. Donated devices are recycled or refurbished through the program and turned into support for victims in the form of phones loaded with free minutes, or cash grants which are then used to support domestic violence organizations nationwide.

If you have an old cell phone sitting around your house, HopeLine offers a perfect way to clean out your living space while extending a random act of kindness.

This week, and every week, HopeLine offers an easy way to give back to the community. For more information, and to find out how to donate, visit www.verizonwireless.com/hopeline. Make it a personal goal to perform one random act of kindness this week!
