SPOKANE, WA — Wireless users in Spokane Valley who want hands-on experience with the latest voice, data, music and video devices have a striking new place to call home. Among the first-of-its-kind Verizon Wireless retail stores anywhere in the country, the 3,500 square- foot location is the latest evolution of the company’s retail store design. It features an open, spacious sales floor with interactive demo stations allowing customers to immerse themselves in hands-on experience with the latest “live” wireless devices. These include a variety of 4G LTE smartphones and tablets that offer wireless data, music, video services and location-based services. The new store also offers customers a “paperless” environment with digital brochures and the option to receive digital purchase receipts by e-mail rather than on paper.

The new store at 15106 E. Indiana Ave. Suite A in Spokane Valley is now open for customers.

“We are very proud to bring one of the first of our newly-transformed retail stores to Spokane Valley,” said Bobby Morrison, regional president for Verizon Wireless.  “I know customers will find a welcoming environment for both shopping and customer service. It’s the perfect venue for experiencing exciting new devices and services, innovative voice and data plans and the best possible wireless experience.”

LEED® Certification

The new Spokane Valley store will apply for LEED certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The store’s design optimizes water and energy use, enhances indoor environmental quality and reduces waste through specifications and responsible procurement and construction practices. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™ is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.

Additional convenience features of the Spokane Valley store include:

  • Expanded floor space with interactive “demo zones” guided by knowledgeable staff
  • Integrated systems and enhancements designed to streamline the sales process
  • Check-in kiosk for customer sign-in and faster service
  • Easy to locate technical assistance and customer support areas with interactive displays

Verizon Wireless has invested more than $1.3 billion in Washington since the company was formed in 2000. That investment includes the introduction of 4G LTE high-speed wireless service in Spokane in June 2011.
