HELENA, MT — Verizon Wireless customers will soon be able to experience the speed and capabilities of America’s largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in Billings and Helena, when the company officially introduces the network there in the coming weeks. With the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, customers can experience innovative technology in their everyday lives through solutions such as HomeFusion℠ Broadband, viewdini and more, all made possible by 4G LTE.
Currently, the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network covers more than 75 percent of the U.S. population in 371 markets across the United States. When Verizon Wireless 4G LTE officially launches later this month, customers who visit or live in Billings and Helena will be able to surf the Web, stream live music and video, and stay in touch with family and friends at speeds up to 10 times faster than before.
Coverage will include:
- City of Billings with 4G LTE service including the airport and extending along I-90 east to the intersection of I-94, west to Shiloh Road and north on US-87 to Old Highway 212.
- City of Helena including retail locations near the airport. 4G LTE service extends on I-15 south towards Montana City and north to Lincoln Road; east along US-12 to East Helena and west to Williams Street.

HomeFusion Broadband is another solution made possible by the power and speed of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network. Using the 4G LTE network, HomeFusion Broadband delivers high-speed, in-home Internet access for residential broadband, particularly where Internet options are limited or are not currently available.

In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.
