Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation’s largest 4G LTE network and largest, most reliable 3G network

WHAT:                                 
Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network is coming to McCook, Neb.  on Dec. 20.  Verizon Wireless customers in these areas will be able to experience the speed and capabilities offered by the nation’s largest 4G LTE network when the company introduces the service on Dec. 20.  New coverage will also launch in Hastings and Kearney on Dec. 20, linking with existing coverage in Grand Island, Neb.

WHERE:         
The 4G LTE network will include the city of McCook as well as Arapahoe, Bartley, Benkelman, Culbertson, Holbrook, Indianola Imperial, Oxford and Trenton.  New coverage from McCook will extend west along U.S. Highway 34 to Benkelman; east along U.S. Highway 6 to Arapahoe; and, southeast of Arapahoe on U.S. Highway 136 to Oxford.

Two years after its launch, the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network  offers more 4G LTE coverage than all other competitors’ networks combined, with coverage currently available to more than 250 million people throughout the United States in 470 markets.  

“The expansion of our 4G LTE network coverage in the McCook area will allow customers in more parts of Nebraska to stay in touch like never before – uploading, downloading and connecting online with speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G,” said Seamus Hyland, president-Great Plains Region, Verizon Wireless. “We are enabling more consumers and businesses to take advantage of the innovations that are being brought to market through 4G LTE technology.”
