Father’s Day was founded in honor of William Jackson Smart, a Civil War veteran and single father of six. Since the first Father’s Day in 1910, we have dedicated one day a year to thanking our fathers for the love and support they provide to our families.

While showing our love is easy, shopping for Dad can be a challenge, leaving many of us scratching our heads. Certainly another tie to add to the collection won’t cut it.

With the 2013 basketball finals taking place, celebrate Dad with a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 or DROID RAZR HD by Motorola so he can follow all the action. Don’t forget to buy him an Otterbox Defender case so he can protect it from bumps and scratches. Accessories like Slingbox connect a smartphone or tablet to the television, so Dad can stream games and root for his favorite team. He can also keep up with the action and get the latest news through the 365 Scores app.

Dad can even use his new device to help earn him the title of BBQ king. Now, he can keep an eye on the propane tank with the BBQ Tank Meter app that tracks gas levels. Pair the device with the iGrill smart accessory to make sure Dad cooks everyone’s meat to their liking. The meat thermometer alerts his smartphone when food has reached the perfect temperature.

Now that Dad has all his favorite things in order, he can focus on doing what he does best – being a Dad.
