The new Delphi Connect with Mobile Hotspot lets passengers connect up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices. With tablets providing mobile entertainment, travelers can watch their favorite television shows or movies on the road, or catch up with email and homework. And, the Wi-Fi connection in the car makes it easier to download a book to an e-reader and play games against friends online.
Before hitting the road, Delphi Connect can diagnose and check your car for potential problems. The small device plugs into the OBD-II port and syncs with the Delphi Connect app to give details about the car’s health and road readiness. Some of the diagnostics include fuel level and battery voltage, as well as some insight into why the check engine light comes on, helping you have a more informed discussion with the mechanic. The app also allows you to track a vehicle’s location, making it easy to locate a car in a parking lot, and turns a smartphone into a key fob to lock and unlock doors on compatible cars.
