As technology continues to find unique ways to both influence and change the fashion industry, Verizon Wireless will be at the forefront of the trend as this evolving tech space makes a new debut with an exciting fashion experience.  On September 9, Verizon will turn to music and fashion fans across the country to help create the first-ever, socially influenced piece of fabric during the live event, Fashion Rocks.

Using a digital fabric printer, Verizon will print a piece of fashion history giving the audience an inspiring opportunity to influence one bold statement: the world’s first #socialimprint.  The real–time experience will take place behind-the-scenes at Fashion Rocks, which features fashions by the world's top designers and live performances by popular musicians.

During Fashion Rocks Backstage, an exclusive two-hour Live Stream powered by Verizon, Verizon will monitor tweets that @ or hashtag a Fashion Rocks artist or designer.  Any and every mention of fashion, music and the entire Fashion Rocks evening will correlate with a color or pattern that Verizon will then convert into a fabric pattern in real-time.

DJs SoSuperSam and Questlove will also be behind-the-scenes live mixing and contributing their voice amongst all the other social conversation that we will see come to life.   Fans watching the Fashion Rocks Backstage Live Stream will be able to watch the #SocialImprint come to life by tuning into FashionRocksLive.com/Verizon.

Throughout the evening, followers of @FashionRocksTV and @VerizonWireless will also find and be able to share show trivia, broadcast clips, red carpet photos, and images, straight from the Fashion Rocks Backstage set on Twitter.  Fans can track online conversation through the hashtag, #socialimprint.

Once the show is over, Verizon will pass along the printed fabric to a special fashion designer who will then transform it into a wearable garment – giving wearable tech an exciting new meaning.
