Patricia Chang studied to be a concert pianist, but when she realized that it was not meant to be she went in a completely different direction: a career in engineering. Lending a Helping Hand to Coworkers in Need

When a series of massive storms swept through America's heartland in 2013, two Verizon employees lost their homes. Because of their urgent needs, Verizon launched a new employee-giving program called Verizon-to-Verizon (V2V). This new charity allows our employees worldwide to donate to a fund that provides grants to their fellow employees who can't live in their homes due to disasters. Since V2V's launch, employees worldwide have generously donated to help 30 Verizon employees and their families around the globe recover from devastating disasters.

"It was very important that I took a role that I had interest in and was comfortable in." Murphy's been with Verizon for a more than a year as a lead supply chain consultant, given his experience managing inventory and manpower in the Army. He's also pursuing his MBA at the University of North Carolina.
