A Verizon Telematics Internship, which is part of the overall Verizon Campus Program will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm.

What you’ll be doing…

As an Intern Product Manager, you will work on complex and diverse projects with members in various locations that support multiple products/services in the emerging area of Telematics. Projects will include next gen product ideas, competitor analysis, market assessment, and outlining scope necessary to build business opportunities.

  • Work to ensure roadmap deliverables including detailed project deadlines are met
  • Assess new opportunities like 5G, Vehicle to Vehicle communication, autonomous vehicles, personal voice assistants
  • Create and implement the strategy and product roadmap for selected category of services (define roadmap, gain both internal and customer buy-in, lead team to develop and launch services).
  • Write Product / Service requirements and certify final product to requirements.
  • Develop price and bundling approach for both the consumer and enterprise services.
  • Understand the current connected car technologies
  • Stay abreast of connected car markets in the United States, China, Europe, Mexico (industry trends, new devices and services, customer usage, technology enablers, etc.).

What we’re looking for...

  • Strong analytical and documentation skills, including a thorough understanding of how to analyze market opportunism and gauge best product offerings
  • Strong skills as a change agent, problem solver, team leader and facilitator
  • Ability to think logically, critically, and constructively about complex problems, clearly communicate findings of analysis and propose solutions that address expressed needs
  • Possess outstanding oral and written communication skills, capable of addressing both technical and non-technical audiences at a variety of organizational levels
  • Ability to work and contribute in a team environment are essential, as are outstanding interpersonal skills

You’ll need to have:

Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Technology or equivalent major degree program with an expected completion date between December 2018 and June 2019

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering (CE), Computer and Information Sciences (CIS), Management and Information Sciences (MIS)
  • Experience in product management role in a technology field
  • Experience managing projects through to development
