UFC 188: Velasquez vs Werdum
Saturday, June 13 live on Pay-Per-View from the Mexico City Arena.
The long-awaited UFC heavyweight title fight between champion Cain Velasquez and interim titleholder Fabricio Werdum will take place on Saturday, June 13 at the Mexico City Arena, and fight fans are guaranteed to see fireworks when the two best heavyweights in the game finally meet. The bout was originally scheduled to take place in the same venue last November before Velasquez was forced to withdraw due to injury. In Velasquez' absence, Brazil's Werdum won the interim belt with a knockout of Mark Hunt, but now Velasquez is hungry to prove that there is only one ruler of the heavyweight division. In the co-main event, it’s a dream matchup years in the making, as longtime lightweight standouts Eddie Alvarez and Gilbert “El Nino” Melendez square off in the Octagon in Mexico City.
