Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How long will it take to repair my equipment?
It depends on the type of equipment. For products that have to be sent in for repairs, it's usually less then 7 business days.
Will a repair person come to my home to repair the laptop?
No. You will receive a postage paid box to return your laptop to our depot for repair. You will not incur any extra expenses for this process.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, Device Protection Plans can be cancelled at any time.
Is this coverage effective immediately?
There is a 30 day waiting period after adding the feature before claims are covered. Valid claims occurring after the 30 day waiting period will be covered under the Protection Plan. You receive 30 days of coverage AFTER you cancel your service to reimburse the waiting period coverage.
Is there a deductible?
There is no deductible, but there is an $89 service fee that applies to all flat-panel TVs, computers and monitors, but not to other accessories or home phones. This is charged on your credit card at the time of claim.
Do I have to be a Verizon customer to purchase a Protection Plan?
No, this plan is available to everyone.
Since I already have an extended warranty on my computer, do I need to purchase this coverage?
Yes, because this will protect all other flat-panel TVs, computers and phones in your home on which you have not purchased an extended warranty. Also, once the extended warranty expires it will automatically be covered under our program.
Will my devices be repaired or replaced?
This depends on the age and brand of the device and the type of repair that needs to be done.
Is there a limit to the amount of claims I can make?
Yes. Each Protection Plan has its own 12-month aggregate claim limit. This means that during the last 12 month period, starting with the initial claim, customers are limited to claims totaling no more than that amount. Please read the Terms of Service for more information.
