What's the difference between FiOS and Standard?
FiOS is America's largest 100% fiber-optic network. It's different from cable because we send a direct pipeline full of thousands of super-thin glass strands straight to your house. Each strand is able to deliver massive amounts of data. There's no additional video compression, so you see crisp clear TV images and brighter colors. And Internet speeds that let you surf, work and play online as fast as you wanna go. You won't find anything like it with cable.

What information will I need to provide when ordering online?
To order service, you may be required to provide the following:
- Name (first & last)
- Valid address
- Valid contact number
- Valid email address
If opening a new account with Verizon, a credit application is required. You will need to provide a valid Social Security number or an alternate means of identification. We will verify this information with a credit bureau and notify you via email if we need additional information. All information is kept confidential and secure. In addition, some services require a valid credit card number for ordering.
Is my Social Security number required?
Your Social Security number is not required; however we will need to check your credit history in order to process the order, and supplying your Social Security number makes this process faster. Your Social Security number is transmitted securely. If you choose to continue your order without entering your Social Security number, you may be contacted for additional information before your order can be completed.
Can I keep my current telephone number when I switch to Verizon?
In many instances it is possible to keep your current home phone number when you set up new Verizon phone service. During the online ordering process, simply provide us the number you want to keep and use with Verizon phone service, and we will check to see if it can be switched to Verizon.
After I start an order online, can I save my progress and resume my order later?
Yes! You can save your cart for 10 calendar days. Simply start an order, and click on the shopping cart icon in the upper right corner of any page. After saving your order you’ll be sent a link in your confirmation email that will bring you right back to your saved order.
The Verizon business offices will not have access to your saved order.
What will my actual bill look like?
Verizon bills in advance for most services. For example, we would bill February service at the end of January.
Your First Bill
Your first bill will include partial month charges for your first month of service, an advance charge for the next month of service, and applicable set up fees for the new services you ordered.
