Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Engr I System Performance is to lead the Regional Baseline program in terms of collection, processing and statistical analysis of field collected data. This person coordinates up to 6 technicians in terms of data collection, equipment troubleshooting, creation and prioritization of routes. This position works with other regions in completing Baseline Audits to ensure best practices are being used and is also the point of contact for the HQ Baseline team.

This position is responsible for performing competitive assessment of key cellular/PCS competitors using CDMA, TDMA, LTE and GSM technologies. This includes collecting baseline data; post processing data; generating plots and reports utilizing a standardized company reporting tool; and analyzing Ascom baseline data. Other responsibilities include conducting data collection with tools such as DataPro and assisting System Performance Engineers in analyzing the collected data for the purpose of improving system quality; working closely with System Performance Engineers to resolve customer complaints by performing specific data collection, Call Detail Record (CDR) search batch, drive testing, post processing, and plot/report generation; ensuring all test equipment is functional and calibrated on periodic basis, as well as making recommendations on future equipment configurations. Additional responsibilities include providing guidance, support and training to the Technician – Baseline and performing all maintenance related to the Ascom equipment.



Qualifications
  • Must be familiar with ActixOne, WindCatcher and BenchMarker software.
  • Must be familiar with Ascom and TEMS Investigation equipment.
  • BS Degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Candidate should have completed the LTE Overview and VoLTE Overview courses.
  • Strong analytic, troubleshooting, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Require moderate to minimum supervision over work product. Work independently on routine research and reporting functions.
  • Project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Understanding of LTE Network Architecture and the protocols used for call setup and teardown.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as needed.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Must have clean driving record and a valid driver’s license is required.
