Responsibilities

The Cloud Product Marketing Manager will help to raise awareness, generate demand, and consistently communicate our Verizon Cloud and Data Center Services’ value proposition internally and externally. At any given time there are numerous programs serving a variety of internal and external constituencies (e.g. sales, media and analyst relations, online marketing, events, channel partners) – all of which need to be informed and managed to ensure consistency of message and alignment with the overarching goals of the Cloud business.  The Cloud Product Marketing Manager must proactively define and direct the implementation of a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, marketing communications and sales enablement plan.  We are looking for a Marketing professional to manage and align content across all of Verizon’s sales and marketing communications-facing programs in the Cloud Product Marketing Plan.    

As a Cloud Product Marketing Manager, you will have the authority and independence to lead cross-functional teams, identify key deliverables that enable execution of a given program(s), drive teams and discern when to escalate in order to achieve program objectives.  This position will interface across working teams and executive leadership, typically up to the VP level, to build program plans, communicate an unbiased program status and resolve issues impeding progress.   In addition, the right candidate must be able to understand how the components of a complex project come together to meet a deliverable, identify risks and issues as well as related mitigation strategies that will minimize impact of these risks or issues, and drive others to agreement and action against an integrated plan.

We are looking for an individual who is capable of influencing stakeholders to alter methods and deliverables when needed to meet a project’s charter, as well as articulate comprehensive explanations to Sr. Leadership when projects cannot meet desired outcomes.

Some of the duties you will be involved with in this role are:

  • Develop sales (direct and indirect channel) enablement and demand generation strategies; manage practitioners across global regions and industries to execute related programs to achieve pipeline goals
  • Serve as the primary editor of Cloud and Data Center value proposition and key messaging which provides the foundation for all external communications programs including sales presentations, sales resource repository, collateral; special purpose tools like buyers guides, ROI calculators, movies, videos, auto-demonstrations, website content, webinars and whitepapers.
  • Develop and manage implementation of any Cloud and Data Center components of executive briefings for the client-facing community: includes oversight of presentation customization, preparation of executive, sales and Solutions Engineers (SE) team presenters
  • Serve as the primary editor of Cloud and Data Center value proposition and key messaging for media and analyst relations: briefing presentations and key messages for product announcements, editorials, social outlets (blogs, Twitter, LinkedIn groups)


Qualifications

Leadership skills:  Demonstrated leadership and management skills and track record in the development, deployment, and marketing of products and new technologies to enterprise customers; excellent troubleshooting skills; proven ability to build relationships and work independently; excellent judgment and the ability to handle escalated situations.

 Industry and Product Knowledge: Proven track record enabling the global sales of Cloud related solutions including software and services to large enterprise customers and channel partners; Strong working knowledge of the key business drivers for and differentiating technical capabilities of Cloud offerings, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), onboarding and professional services.

Project Management skills: Experience developing and implementing a comprehensive, cross-functional strategic marketing plan; outstanding problem solving and analytical skills

Negotiations & Communication skills:  Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communications skills; proven track record as a successful negotiator with all levels of management; strong presentation and communications skills at multiple levels of an organization

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • BA required
  • MS/MBA preferred
