This position is responsible for supporting all activities related to Verizon’s repair network. This would include, but not limited to monitoring KPI’s, evaluating data for trends and possible non-compliances against repair goals, reporting, forecasting, and inventory management.  This position will directly support the repair network and work with other teams within Verizon Wireless to optimize the repair activity.  This position will be heavily involved in the daily communications with the repair suppliers.  Additionally, the individual will have to work with a cross functional team which includes Inventory Control, Engineering, Quality, Finance and the CRTC. This position will help guide the decisions which are made with respect to inventory planning, forecasting, and quality.

• Responsible for monitoring operational and quality metrics and identifying risks and opportunities.   Metrics include but are not limited to bounce, recover yield, TAT (repair turnaround time) and device introduction and end-of-life management. Provide reporting on metric compliance and provide readouts on performance.  Work with repair suppliers on improvement opportunities where required. Maintain supplier scorecard.

• Monitor inventory levels and aging to control cost.  Develop and monitor the repair forecast for each of the suppliers and make adjustments as needed.  Maintain compliance with forecast and associated repair supplier capacity.  Identify optimal device portfolio for repair at each of the repair suppliers.  Reconcile inventory by reviewing shipments to and from the repair suppliers.  Review repair invoices for any possible discrepancies. 

• Coordinate and prioritize production based on inventory levels and needs from the various programs.  Review repair supplier ship plans to ensure the correct models are being prioritized.  Monitor device WIP levels to identify workable and non-workable inventory.  Manage RMA’s, RMA discrepancies, EDI file transmission issues, and data to the repair suppliers.  Identify and resolve any transportation issues and costs.


• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Operations Research, Supply Chain or related field.
• 2-5 years of wireless industry, specifically Service and Repair with strong competency in supply chain operations, program or process management, and metric development and oversight.
• Ability to work cross functionally, across HQ and Area teams as well as with external customers in order to influence, manage, and drive results
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the key business drivers, processes, and quality management.
• Strong system and data mining skills, SQL experience preferred. 
• Effective communicator with the ability to clearly articulate a vision to a broad range of audiences.
