The Manager will supervise Verizon’s eDiscovery services team from both strategic and tactical perspectives. On a daily basis, provide guidance and supervision over Verizon’s internal and external eDiscovery operations and consulting organizations. Build and maintain strong relationships with Verizon’s internal and external client base. Provide strategic expert consulting services to clients in eDiscovery and Information Governance. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize the operating environment with the implementation of industry-leading tools and procedures. Create internal and external marketing and thought leadership materials designed to educate prospective clients and promote Verizon’s eDiscovery services. Advocate on behalf of the team for internal and external audiences.


Other Responsibilities include


Interface with Verizon sales teams in order to support sales activities through materials and education.

Identify key opportunities and collaborate with sales teams to close potential business.

Identify a vision and execute on that vision to provide a cohesive direction to and for the team.

Function as an escalation point for the team members’ interactions with clients.

Keep all financial records for the business and supervise all billing events to clients.

Form relationships with other key members of the Investigative Response organization to cross promote our collective businesses.

Understand, interpret and act upon key industry trends in order to establish and maintain Verizon’s leadership status.

Supervise the implementation and development of ongoing testing procedures for newly adopted technologies and releases

Create and implement repeatable processes, templates documentation and practices designed to improve the overall client experience and promote an optimized working environment for team members.

Generate practical and meaningful training materials through content creation or repurposing.

Support the team members in any way necessary to ensure the successful operation of the team.




10 to 15 years of successful eDiscovery experience as attorney, consultant, project lead or professional.

Possess a deep understanding of the electronic discovery model, industry, technologies and practices. This includes fluency with and ability to apply relevant industry practices, current technologies and relevant statutes and case law.

Ability and willingness to lead a team of highly-qualified eDiscovery professionals.

Detail oriented, organized, accurate and diligent working style

Ability to relate and effectively communicate with cross-functional members of internal and external teams, including attorneys, litigation support and IT departments.

Flexible work schedule with on-call responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant field of study.

Ability to translate and communicate complex technical issues and strategies understandably to non-technical individuals

Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to create solutions with a small amount of resources

Additional qualifications which are preferred:


JD or MBA advanced degree from an accredited university. If JD, the candidate should have passed the bar exam in at least one US jurisdiction and be in good standing.

At least 5 years of management of eDiscovery services teams.

Advanced degree in technology, business or law

E-Discovery review management experience in a law firm, review provider or corporate environment.

Discovery Readiness and/or Information Governance team leadership experience.
