Responsibilities

Sr. HR Analyst

Position Overview – The Sr. Analyst is responsible for performing a broad spectrum of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition duties. Responsibilities are varied, requiring a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, independent judgment, and multitasking. The Sr. Analyst will establish and foster a consultative relationship with Verizon Telematics hiring managers through close working relationships with various Business Units, and will oversee the entire recruitment and selection process from coordinating candidate presentations to hiring managers to presenting and negotiating employment offers.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent time management, organizational and project management skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Source candidates using a variety of tools and techniques, including, but not limited to, the Verizon website, job boards, and direct recruiting efforts (such as targeted career fairs)
  • Oversee entire selection process including providing instruction and assistance to all job applicants, assisting hiring managers in scheduling of interviews, and preparing offer letters.
  • Educate hiring managers on acceptable recruitment processes and policies
  • Assist Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition to execute current and future staffing requirements. 
  • Ability to multi task and perform in a fast paced environment
  • 3+ years of Technical Recruitment experience in a corporate environment, including the use of an Applicant Tracking System such Taleo 
  • 3+ years’ experience using 3rd party job boards and Internet navigation tools
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, ability to deal with very complex hiring processes and follow them through to closure
  • A good understanding of relevant employment legislation, as well as excellent knowledge and experience in the High Tech and/or Mobile/Wireless space.  Strong verbal and written communication skills, in addition to, effective negotiating skills and knowledge of behavioral-based interview techniques

Education:

Bachelors Degree preferred
