Using User Codes to unlock doors
Someone can let themselves in without your remotely unlocking the keypad lock by entering a User Code to unlock your door. You can create specific User Codes for specific uses (ex. For the housekeeper) and specify when the User Code can be used (ex. From 8 am – 4 pm each Wed.). Door lock User Codes are managed from the Home Monitoring and Control Web site.

From my... Action

Computer

Select the User Codes tab to view a list of your door lock User Codes. Select Edit to change the User Code name, and when the User Code is enabled. After you specify your User Code settings, click Save.

Keep in mind:
  • If you don’t specify a specific schedule for a User Code (ex. the User Code is only active on Wed. from 8 am – 4 pm), the User Code default is Always Enabled - the User Code can be used to unlock your door at any time.
  • When you click Edit to create or modify User Codes, the User Code characters are visible.  Be cautious about updating your User Codes from public locations.
