Dial-Up Internet

Do you have Call Waiting? If you have Call Waiting on the same phone line that you use to access the Internet, you may have to disable it to prevent incoming calls from interrupting your Internet access.

To disable Call Waiting, you will have to configure your modem to dial *70, 1170, or 70# before dialing your Internet access number. Refer to your local telephone company phone book to find out which code to use.

To disable Call Waiting, select your operating system:
