Creating a wireless network with a Verizon 9100EM router in Windows XP

Note: The configuration screens may vary slightly depending on when you purchased your router and the version of firmware running on it.

  1. Open a Web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox and enter http://192.168.1.1 in the Address field. [Show Me]


  2. Enter a user name in the User Name field.


  3. Router Login

  4. Enter a strong password for your network in the New Password field. The password must be at least 6 characters long and include at least one alphanumeric character.


  5. Re-enter your password in the Retype New Password field.


  6. Select your time zone in the Time Zone field and click OK.


  7. Click the Wireless Settings icon at the top of the screen.
