I forgot my user name and password; what should I do?

Verizon provides online tools for retrieving your User ID and Passwords.

 

Forgot your User ID and/or Password? To retreive your user name and password online, you'll need your Verizon phone or account number and information to verify your identity.

Forgot / want to change your User ID? Use the Forgot/Change User ID tool

Forgot / want to reset your Password? Use the Forgot Password tool

 

Password change tips: To increase your account security, your password:
  • Must be 8-20 characters in length
  • Cannot contain any spaces
  • Must include at least one number and one letter
  • Cannot contain your user ID, first name, last name or your secret answer
  • Cannot include more than 3 of the same letters/numbers in a row (i.e. "blt22222" is not acceptable but "blt2255" is)
  • Cannot include 4 consecutive characters on the keyboard (i.e. "asdfg33CAT" is unacceptable)
NOTE: If Verizon determines that your password is too easy for others to guess (e.g. "baseball1" and "abcd1234"), you will prompted to choose another password.

 

Note: If you have the Westell 2200 modem, the Westell 6100 modem, the Westell VersaLink 327W, or if you use Outlook Express, you must update software settings to match your new Verizon Online password. If you do not update your settings, you will not be able to connect to the Internet, or you will not be able to send and receive email using Outlook Express.
