FiOS TV

Caller ID for FiOS TV

Caller ID for FiOS TV lets you see details of outgoing, incoming, and missed phone calls on your TV. There is no charge to FiOS voice and video customers for Caller ID. However, your FiOS services and Set-Top Box must meet the requirements for Caller ID.


 

Requirements

You must have the following to set up Caller ID on your TV:


  1. Either FiOS Digital Voice or a combination of FiOS voice service, FiOS Internet, and Verizon Call Assistant as well as a subscription to the Caller ID service.
  2. FiOS TV service with a compatible Set-Top Box.
    Caller ID is NOT compatible with the following Set-Top Boxes: NOTE: All Verizon-supplied routers and ONTs are compatible with Caller ID for FiOS TV.

Set up Caller ID

  1. Using your remote control, press Menu > Settings > Notifications > Caller ID > Check Availability and then press OK or Select.  A message will display to indicate that Caller ID is either available or unavailable.
     
  2. If Caller ID is Unavailable, you currently do not meet the equipment or service requirements. Press OK or Select.

    If you are not a FiOS Digital Voice customer, you must first activate a free subscription to the Verizon Call Assistant service. Verizon Call Assistant offers access to your Caller ID messages and voice mail (not currently available in all areas) via the Internet.
     
  3. If Caller ID is Available, press OK or Select. When prompted, select Yes to enable Caller ID and press OK or Select again.

    Once you have activated Caller ID, you may not see alerts for 24-48 hours. You need to activate Caller ID on each Set-Top Box where you want the service.

Select Alert options

  1. Using your remote control, press Menu > Settings > Notification > Caller ID.
    • Select Show Alerts to turn the Caller ID Alert box On or Off.
    • Select Alert Duration to control the length of time the Caller ID Alert box is displayed.
    • Select Alert Position to control the position of the Caller ID Alert box on your TV screen.

View Call Logs (Call Back / Block / Delete)

  1. Using your remote control, press MenuFiOS Digital Voice > Call Logs.
  2. Your Call History will display Outgoing (Green right arrow), Incoming (Blue left arrow), and Missed (Red x) calls.  The caller name, phone number, and the date/time of the call are shown for each call.
  3. Select a call and press the Options button on your remote to display Call Back, Block, and Delete options.
    • Select Call Back to ring your Verizon home phone. When answered, the selected number will be dialed.
    • Select Block to add the phone number to your Blocked Callers List.
    • Select Delete to remove the call from your Call History.

View Voice Mail (Play Messages / Call Back / Block / Delete)

  1. Using your remote control, press Menu > FiOS Digital Voice > Voice Mail.
  2. Your Voice Mail inbox will display your voice mails including the caller name, phone number, and the date/time of the call.
  3. Select a call and press the Options button on your remote to display Play Messages, Call Back, Block, and Delete options.
    • Select Play Messages* to listen to the voice mail message (the TV will mute during playback).
    • Select Call Back to ring your Verizon home phone. When answered, the selected number will be dialed.
    • Select Block to add the phone number to your Blocked Callers List.
    • Select Delete to remove the call from your Voice Mail Inbox.  

* Voice Mail playback is not available on the Motorola 2500 PC standard definition Set-Top Box.

Manage Calling Features

  1. Using your remote control, press Menu > FiOS Digital Voice > Calling Features.
    • Select Simultaneous Ring to designate up to three phone numbers that will simultaneously ring when a call comes in to your Verizon home phone.
    • Select Call Forwarding to forward your Verizon home phone to another phone number you provide.
    • Select Incoming Call Block to block all Anonymous calls or manage your Blocked Callers List for calls to your Verizon home phone.
    • Select Do Not Disturb to automatically forward calls to voice mail or play the system greeting.
