Use In-Home Agent to find your network’s SSID You can access In-Home Agent on a computer that is already connected to Verizon Online. Within In-Home Agent, select Internet, Networking & Wireless Setup and then Retrieve SSID and WEP/WPA key.
If you haven't changed your SSID, the default SSID is provided on a sticker on the bottom of your router.
Note: The Actiontec GT784WNV security screens and prompts may vary slightly from these directions depending on when you purchased your gateway and the firmware loaded on it.
To find your network’s SSID:
Make sure your Actiontec GT784WNV is connected to the Internet with an Ethernet cable.
Open a Web browser like Internet Explorer and enter http://192.168.1.1 in the Address field of the browser.
Enter your current user name and password and click OK. If you didn't change the user name and password during installation, enter admin in the User Name field and password in the Password field. Note: If you can't remember your user name or password, you will need to reset your Actiontec to the default settings and reconfigure your home network.
From the top navigation, click the Wireless Setup tab. The Basic Settings page opens.
The SSID appears in the Network Name field. Write down the SSID and put it in a secure place for future reference. You will need this information any time you make a change to your home network or add devices to it.
