Actiontec GT784WNV: Enable Port Forwarding

Port forwarding configures a device (modem, router, or gateway) to allow a computer, application, or a service on the Internet to communicate with a specific computer on a private local area network (LAN).

Port forwarding sorts the data from the Internet source to the correct port on your network. Port forwarding is commonly used for online gaming, VPN setup, FTP setup, remote computer software, and Web server hosting.

Before you begin: Make sure you have the port information from the manufacturer or service that requires port forwarding. This normally includes the protocol, port start, port end, and port map.
