If you're using WEP encryption on your home network, it's important that you create a strong, unique WEP encryption key/password and that you change your encryption key regularly to help protect your network. One of the weaknesses of WEP encryption is that it uses a static encryption key. You can compensate for this weakness somewhat by changing your WEP encryption key/password regularly.  Verizon recommends that you upgrade to WPA2 encryption and create a strong, unique encryption key/password. Please go to verizon.com/securemyfiosnetwork for details.

Note: When you change your network's WEP key, you must update the WEP key settings for all computers and adapters connected to your network.
