Steps to Create a Wired Network with a FiOS Connection and Verizon MI424WR router


Look at the back of your computer (or the side of your laptop) for a data port. The data port looks like a regular phone port but is larger. In some computers, the Data port is marked with the Ethernet symbol (Figure depicting Ethernet symbol ) If your computer has this port, it has an Ethernet adapter.

Note: The data port is actually part of your Network Interface Card (NIC)
