Responsibilities

Act as the SoCal Regional Engineer responsible for supporting the Budget, Spend, and CIP (Construction In Progress.) Work with the Area and HQ teams to meet the 2013 Plan of Record. Support existing outside plant and fiber optic network in the Region. Coordinate with various contractors and vendors to maintain network reliability and integrity. Support fiber optic network expansion projects. Support the SoCal Regional strategy regarding Dark Fiber, Ethernet Backhaul, and Transport Facilities. Establish, manage, and effectively communicate the Budget, Spend & CIP status per the POR. Prepare feasibility and budgetary costs for new fiber optic cable installation projects. Plan and execute new fiber optic cable installation projects for network expansion. Initiate, develop, and complete new fiber installation projects on-time and within budget. Manage vendors, engineering and construction contractors in order to meet the Plan Of Record.

Qualifications

5+ years working in the Wireless Industry supporting large budgets, spend plans, and CIP execution. Experience working with NCMS, PeopleSoft, Purchase Orders, and Transport Contracts is a plus. Good communication skills required to interface with utility companies, property developers, municipalities and other local jurisdictions. Knowledge of transport integration practices within the telecommunications environment. Working experience with technical writing and documentation. Superior teamwork and vendor leadership skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
