The Emerging Technology Consultant III (ETC III) has the responsibility to work directly with customers, account teams and key partners to develop significant customer solutions and sales.   The ETC III is a direct quota bearing sales position in Emerging Technologies as herein defined.   The role requires 5+ years of proven consultative selling skills with equally proven technical background and certifications.  Thought leaders who are highly motivated to sell, solve customer business challenges, evolve their technology expertise, drive adoption of strategic services and shape the future our organization are encouraged to apply. 


The ETC III is accountable and measured against a monthly sales plan.  100% performance is required throughout the year to sustain this role.  The delivery of accurate and timely sales forecasting is required.  An ETC III should display the ability to forecast sales within a plus or minus 10% accuracy rate.   A high degree of proactive sales activity is required to ensure a solid funnel per corporate standards.  Often times the ETC III is required to orchestrate between multiple departments to ensure the desired solution is crafted and presented to a customer.  An ETC III requires little supervision and is required to take a leadership role to drive the coordination of new business on behalf of Verizon.  An ETC III is expected to work with organizations within Verizon and 3rd Party Partners to develop a homogenous solution to meet the desired customer solution.  Budgetary proposals and pricing will be developed by working directly with product management, product engineering, product documentation, third party vendors and pricing teams for standard and custom solutions.  The ETC III must demonstrate the ability to qualify, position, develop and close high revenue opportunities.  The proven ability to engage at executive levels within each account is a must.


The ETC III will have expertise in at least three of the following technology areas; Unified Communications, Mobility, Managed Services, Contact Centers, IP Consulting, and Outsourcing.  Additionally, these baseline skills are required:  strong written and oral communications, the ability to professionally present internally and externally to all levels of management; strong critical thinking skills, excellent project management skills to lead the sales life-cycle of engagement and the ability to analyze and leverage agency mission and budget reports into sales activity and wins.

Degree preferred and a minimum of 5+ years' experience in a related discipline.
