Responsibilities

The Member of Technical Staff III (internal title) is responsible for working with the Product Management Team (PLM), Network Repair Bureau, Vendors, Business Partners, internal MCS IT teams and CAM organization to support the Catalog Management Platform (CMP) system, the Media Store, Mobile MediaStore, and Data Grid applications. The MTS will provide operational support for the CMP, MediaStore and Data Grid applications make contributions to approach and design documents, review test cases/results, provide UAT testing support, implement production code changes, and provide metric reporting and analysis .

Catalog Management Platform, MediaStore and Data Grid Support:
• Work directly with the PLM teams in providing support for the vendor stocking process.  Validate raw data (transactions/customer information, etc), performing trending analysis, ensure the accuracy and quality of all system data.
• Write/run reports to validate daily/weekly/monthly CMP order processing.
• Provide assistance to Product Mgt Teams for validation and approval of all stocking files
• Ensure Data Grid provides 100% complete data to all system interfaces
• Provide support for data related vendors and Data Marketing.
• Support eCMP GUI user setup and channel configuration process.
• Point of contact for all auditing of vendor invoices and vendor contracts.
• Provide support to end users for MediaStore
• Monitor order processing for all vendors/channels

Data Grid Operational Support
• Work directly with the Development and Infrastructure teams in providing support for data grid as well as all data grid system interfaces
•  Support all phases of the Data Grid implementation and PRL lookup functionality
• Support weekly Data Grid reconciliation processing
•  Point of contact for all catalog processing related inquiries from vendors and business teams

Analysis and Reporting
• Provide all CMP and MediaStore  analysis support required to enable the business to successfully complete all month end close processing (journal entries, accruals, reconciliation's and forecasts).
• Perform system analysis and ad hoc reporting for Finance, Data Marketing, Legal, etc.
• Analysis of CMP, MediaStore and Data Grid system processes/functionality to identify potential financial risks and/or opportunities for VZW and vendors.
• Develop queries and reports
• Routinely identify opportunities for process improvement/make recommendations

Production Support
• Provide on call support for the CMP, MediaStore and Data Grid applications.
• Address and resolve Trouble Tickets assigned to CMP/MediaStore/DataGrid support sub-team.
• Validate newly deployed code to ensure no impacts to the vendors/customers.
• Identify monitors to ensure that the system availability is 99.97%.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems

  • 4+ years of previous relevant Operations/Production Support and catalog processing experience
  •  Ability to be self-managing
  • Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible
  • Quantitative, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills
  • Catalog processing knowledge, previous Catalog Management Platform Experience preferred
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
  • Ability to effectively negotiate solutions and deadlines with others at all levels of the business
  • Strong, thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Unix command line knowledge
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Working knowledge PL SQL
  • Ability to effectively multitask and track numerous projects to completion
  • In-depth knowledge of Verizon Wireless products and services, functions, policies and procedures
  • Ability to effectively consult and communicate with internal teams
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced, changing environment and provide rapid turn-around on deliverables
  • Available to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed for support of specific product, process, or system launches
  •  DataGrid experience preferred
