This position is essential in overseeing the Technical Smart Hand, Remote Hands and Installation Support of Collocation Customer Infrastructure, as well as other required supporting duties (i.e., Managed Services Support, Work Volume Reporting, Customer Project Development, etc.) that meet or exceed site and company guidelines or expectations.   As a Site Lead representing Verizon Terremark a key objective is to demonstrate commitment to providing customer-focused quality of service through active teaming within the organization and across other Verizon Terremark functional areas. Functions of the position are included herein, but are not limited to this position profile.

 As a Site Lead, of a 24x7 customer-facing team, you are expected to be available for after-hours critical escalations and project work as assigned and needed.   

  • Manage multiple incidents from customers and project teams for customer deployment and internal infrastructure support
  • Work closely with customers, vendors, and other system professionals in order to identify operational issues
  • Working knowledge of Building Management System to monitor status of critical infrastructure in the Collocation facility
  • Perform special customer requests in accordance with their respective SLAs
  • Document any provider-level maintenance windows that will be service-impacting
  • Understanding of overall business functions and the impact of technical decisions on business results
  • Assist PMs, IMs with getting projects updates from N&T teams to keep projects on track
  • Monitor and Close work orders and audits in SDP
  • Open ETMs tickets as required and send to the appropriate N&T organization
  • Keep Panels schedule updated upon completion of projects
  • Perform Surveys from Engineering teams
  • Monitor site infrastructure charges that might impact facility: Mastars for the site
  • Effectively plan and actively participate in meetings related to areas of responsibility
  • Understand of electrical/mechanical infrastructure and monitoring/reporting tools
  • Understand installations of server cabinets, 4-post racks, custom build collocation cages
  • Understand installations of infrastructure to include ladder rack, fiber runner guide, patch panels, etc.
  • Understand installation of bulk network cabling and terminations
  • Understand installation and management of network cabling and terminations
  • Understand installation of CAT 6, Single-mode/Multi-mode fiber optic and DS-3 COAX
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
  • Assume other duties as assigned by the Management, Platform Services
  • Coordinate the Managed Services Suite deployments, including but not limited to the caging materials, under the floor basket trays, over cabinets ladder rack, fiber tray, inter-network connectivity, servers, routers switches and power whips
  • Travel between sites are required Vz Terremark locations as requested 



  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including technical diagrams (Visio) and documentation capabilities
  • 2 to 3 years of experience working in the technology industry
  • site audit experience such as PCI, SAE 16 and SAS70 highly desired
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and solve practical problems
  • Working knowledge of ticketing system (s)
  • Ability to lead in a constructive manner, customer service person with strong skills to work in team environment.
  • Professional, organized, customer service person with strong people skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks and ongoing projects, budgeting, tracking, risk reviews, meeting, etc.
  • Excellent documentation, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to absorb, master and leverage technologies such as collocation infrastructure, network and server technology
  • Degree preferred
