Responsibilities

 

This technical member of the Invoice validation team will have responsibilities for multiple tasks, tools, and systems that support departmental operations. Meeting organizational goals depends on this person's ability to organize, create, communicate, and facilitate activities that allow the company to deliver on its commitments.

 

  • This position will be part of a team supporting a 68 person invoice audit organization which audits and pays approximately 45,000 carrier invoices each month.
  • The technical member will provide systems analysis, coding and ongoing support for Invoice Validation audits and systems. Projects are typically cross-platform decision support automation that analyzes provisioning, industry, rating, and network data against thousands of individual billing components.
  • This position requires someone with significant programming and systems experience along with experience manipulating large data sets and fulfilling user requirements.
  • The person in this position will gather requirements and scope from auditors, code and implement the audit requirements, and review audit output with auditors.  The position requires significant interaction with end users and time management skills to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Additional experience preferred: dashboard creation and design, Business Objects implementations, user interface development, project management
  • This position will have the opportunity to lead process improvement initiatives. The position will drive initiatives to support systems enhancements and automation solutions which will contribute to efficiencies across the organization.
  • This position will lead development of training materials, systems documentation and provide training to end users on system procedures, data structure and basic programming skills.
  • The position will regularly interact with Individual Contributors, Supervisors, and Managers within the organization to report progress on initiatives and plan goals for audit development and process improvement.
  • Uses professional concepts and company policies & procedures to solve a wide range of complex problems in creative and practical ways; makes recommendations that aid in the successful completion of initiatives within a functional area. Typically involved in one large project at a time; develops schedules to ensure timely completion of the project; identifies appropriate resources needed.
  • Receives general guidance for the accomplishment of short to medium term goals and operating objectives. Plans and executes own work. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or Finance, or equivialent experience

-The optimal candidate will possess significant experience with databases and dataset manipulation in the following tools: Webfocus, SQL, SAS, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Hyperion. Webfocus is the primary tool used for auditing with other tools used to develop and enhance this reporting.

-Additional tools preferred: HTML, Java, VB, .NET


- 2-5 years of related professional experience
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent PC skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Access
- Experience in contract / tariff interpretation and negotiation preferred, but not required
- Experience in the telecommunications industry preferred, but not required
