We currently have openings for CDL A Drivers. These positions are full-time, temporary (up to three-years) assignments with benefits.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Loading and delivering supplies and equipment to Company and customer locations.
  • Driving various types of vehicles and operating tractor trailer units and delivering vehicles over 18,000 lbs., MGW. Also includes the driving of Tandem Trailers.
  • Operating a winch, hydraulic cable boom, etc.
  • Performing clerical duties associated with this type of work, i.e., maintaining records and logs.
  • Lifting and carrying boxes and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Lifting and carrying large equipment crates, furniture, etc., generally with the assistance of others.
  • Working indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather.
  • Employees may be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.

 

Required Experience:

  • Must have a valid Commercial Class A Driver’s license with a good driving record; and without an accident in the past 3 years.
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle with stick shift.
  • Must handle receipts and required documents.
  • Must have previous experience in the use of power equipment, i.e.., hoists, boom, forklifts and work savers.
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
  • Associates will be required to lift and move material up to 75 lbs.
  • Associates will be driving combination vehicles i.e., tractors and trailers.
  • Licensed drivers must perform all administrative duties such as checking materials and equipment delivered.
  • Associates must be available to work scheduled tours designated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement and/or the needs of the business. Associates may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as the needs of the business necessitate.
  • Associates may be scheduled to meet deadlines as a result of the business due to emergency conditions.

Qualifications

A.   Tests - Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company policy.
B.  Physical Requirements - Normal Medical Department authorization for this job (except if previously taken and still considered valid) & Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) Health Examination.
C.  Job Performance and Attendance Record - Satisfactory performance rating & attendance punctuality record in present job.
D.  Driver's License Information - Must possess a valid Class I Chauffeur's License- all areas. Must have a good driving record. Ability to drive vehicles with standard transmissions may be required in some locations.
E.  Tours - Work assignments consist of the equivalent of five (5) days of seven (7) hours each during the period from Monday to Saturday, both inclusive. Associates may be required to work evenings, holidays, Sundays and overtime as the needs of the business necessitate.
F.  Additional Requirements - Federal Law requires minimum age 21 and must speak, read and write English.

Salary Information

Hourly Rate: $11.81 - $35.81
