• The Technician is responsible for the operation, and maintenance of the various assigned NSS Performance Applications. 
  • Other responsibilities include troubleshooting; upgrading; administering these applications; monitoring system, application, element and platform data collection processes, providing support and communications to a varied user community, and composing clear, concise reports for system documentation.
  • The Technician is expected to perform his/her duties with minimum supervision, and participate in cross-functional projects as scheduled 


  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of UNIX (Solaris/Redhat) and Oracle
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Remedy
  • Strong working knowledge of Perl and Unix shell scripting
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, for 24/7 on call support rotation
  • Ability to work closely with other VZW teams and external vendors to resolve issues and implement application enhancements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong business knowledge and wireless industry understanding
  • In depth knowledge of information systems concepts and process  management
  • Working Knowledge of SQL Plus and PL/SQL
  • Oracle administration and basic understanding of relational DBs
  • Valid Drivers License
