Responsibilities

The coordinator position will be responsible for managing the quality control process that is required to place new cell sites into service. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Ensure that new cell sites are completed to Verizon Wireless’ practices and standards.
  • Manage third party quality inspection firms for the inspection of towers, lines and antennas.
  • Coordinate the installation, testing and acceptance of cell site equipment.
  • Oversee the installation and acceptance of EBH circuits.
  • Obtain all documentation that pertains to the completion of cell sites; line and antenna test reports, red-lined drawings, certificates of occupancy, etc….
  • Represent the Implementation team during the Operations acceptance process for new cell sites.
  • Support the Implementation engineering staff for the procurement, installation and acceptance of all work that is associated with new cell sites.
  • Perform quality control reviews for drawings and specifications that are related to new cell site construction.
  • Work closely with the entire Implementation team to ensure that new cell sites are being completed to the highest of quality standards and on schedule. 

Qualifications

Qualifications are as follows:

  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 2+years experience with the operation, installation or construction of new cell sites.
  • Technical requirements are as follows:
    • Knowledge of cell site equipment, towers, lines and antennas systems gained through work experience.
    • Completion of cell site equipment installation and maintenance courses.
    • Exposure to EBH circuits and fiber equipment.
    • Cell site construction.
    • Must be proficient with wireless devices and Microsoft programs; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with PeopleSoft purchasing tools.
    • Completion of OSHA safety classes.
  • Additional qualities:
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Team player.
    • Self motivator.
    • Must be able to work remotely and independently.
