Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for developing a distributed Android/Set Top Box platform that will form the foundation for Verizon's home and multimedia services delivered to millions of FiOS and mobile devices. You will help build the platform by defining the software/systems architecture and other toolkits.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications for Success

  • A Master’s or PHD degree in Computer Science or equivalent major preferred
  • 3.0 GPA or greater preferred
  • Must have solid computer networking  and LAN skills
  • Strong programming language skills with Java
  • Strong analytical skills and solid communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn
  • Familiar with Operating Systems and developing embedded systems for mobile and / or web services (Android etc.) preferred
  • Previous related internship/work experience preferred
