Sr Cslt-Prog/Proj Mgt (Real Estate Program/Project Manager) Summary:

Position has oversight for the overall strategy, purpose, coordination and status of multiple, related projects directed towards the Global Real Estate strategy as well as organization objectives.  This position is responsible for program managing continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives and modifying the program to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent. These programs contain complex activities that may span functions, organizations and geographic regions.  Program manager role focuses on selecting appropriate project methodology, defining them in terms of their objectives and providing an environment where projects can be run successfully. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic definition and implementation of multiple related projects in support of Verizon's Global Real Estate strategy for utilization of space, location, cost reduction, increased shareholder value, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction across geographic regions.
  • Responsible and accountable for coordinating the management of projects directed toward strategic business and organizational objectives.  Must build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization. 
  • Responsible for leading and implementation of multiple projects in support of Mobility and Sustainability projects. 
  • Responsible for managing master plan, selecting best group of projects, defining their objectives and providing an environment where projects can be run successfully. 
  • Lead project teams comprised of Strategic Planning, Transactions, Design, Construction and Project Operations Design, Planning, Project Operations to deliver long term improvements across the Portfolio.
  • Assign project managers to manage cost, schedule and performance of multiple projects while working to ensure the ultimate success and acceptance of overall program across the Portfolio. 

 

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must possess knowledge and skills needed to be effective in the project, business and/or government environments, and to make decisions that accomplish strategic objectives. In addition, the program manager should have advanced skills in finance, cross-cultural awareness, leadership, communication, influence, negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • BS in Architecture, Engneering and/or Construction Management or equivalent experience. MS preferred
  • Project Management experience - minimum of 10 years
  • Knowledge of facilities design and construction practices
  • Able to travel as required

  • Strategic-Big Picture Thinking, Internal Systems related to project execution; Presentation and Delivery Skills; financial & other Quantitative/Analytical skills; Technology (tools and applications)

Technical Expertise in following areas:

  • Leasing Transaction Management, Construction & Project Management; Architectural Design & Principles; Real Estate Property/General Business Operations; Value Engineering Concepts; Microsoft Office; Design and Construction Contract Administration.
