Responsibilities

 
 

Developing new software systems or modifying existing ones introduces many opportunities for defects and business-impacting errors.  The goal of Sr. QA Automation Engineer is to reasonably ensure that defects are identified in an automated fashion, tracked, and resolved.  The ability to master the expected functionality and behavior of a system and systematically identify incidents where it deviates is critical.  Using this knowledge, provide customer support when incidents occur and manage the verification, tracking, and prioritization of defects for resolution by development. The ability to automate the quality assurance process to quickly achieve routine regression tests is key to this role.

 

Qualifications

 
 

 

  • 5-10 years experience in Software Quality Assurance or related discipline
  • 2-5 years of automation or development experience with C#
  • Selenium experience
  • Familiar with the software development lifecycle and Agile processes
  • Structured thinking and ability to work methodically to ensure adequate test coverage
  • Ability to develop detailed test cases in conjunction with developers and business analysts
  • Proficient in the use of defect tracking systems such as Microsoft Team System or Rally
  • Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment and in direct contact with customers
  • Ability to learn complex software systems and understand their intended use
  • Ability to train and lead other quality assurance engineers is preferred.
